One of the main activities of BAAG include identification of innovative works in the field of crops, forestry, fisheries and livestock. The innovations that contributes to the economy of the country and more particularly helps in improving livelihood of poor people are rewarded in the form of Gold Medal and Crests. BAAG has a set mechanism for screening innovations and they are awarded every year.
