Azizur Rahman from Patuakhali was awarded Crest of Honor for his outstanding performance in rice production. He cultivated Aman Rice during 2015-18 but carefully collected seeds from the best plant for three consecutive years. The production increased every year due to selection process. In the current year it was found that the yield was increased by 25% due to seed selection process. He replicated his experiment, not only in his own land, but also took three other farmers to test the performance. It was revealed that the yield increased consistently in all four farmers field. The people in the locality are now using that rice variety and named Aziz Dhan 1. For this outstanding work, he is awarded Crest of Honor during 2018 by BAAG.
